Where is a home

Home is where the heart is that is what they say. Funny thing is what happens when your heart is in two different places? What happens when your heart shifts places and the place you thought was home isn’t home? What happens when you move and your heart is not really home because you feel homesick? What happens when you get married? Do you have two homes where does your heart go? Does it go with your family or with your partner? Does it change with time? How do you feel when you leave to travel and fall in love with a place? What happens when you have a child? Does your whole life change and your heart?

Well for me my heart is everywhere. My home is where my family is, where my boyfriend is, where my sister is, where my nieces and nephews are. It is where I feel loved and where I can be happy. Yes my heart changes and so does my home. My home is where I am happy. My home is where I can be comfortable and be who I am. To be home means to be yourself and be able to speak your mind, laugh, cry, and so much more. So don’t worry if your home feels like multiple places. That is because home can be that. No matter how old you are your heart will be in different places with different people. It doesn’t matter when or where it happens but it does. Don’t worry about your heart or feeling lost because your heart knows love and will always tell you when you are home with those you love.
