Hearing the wrong thing

I hate when i am talking to someone and i hear something that has nothing to do with the conservation.Worst part is when they see my face and ask what happened. I ask them to repeat what they said and then i understand what they said. Then i tell them what i heard and we both laugh. I remember one day talking to my coworker and they were talking about an item i had on my key chain that was showing his penis well my ears heard do you have a penis instead of what she said he has a penis. Needless to say i was laughing hard because we were at work and this happened for about 5 minutes before i understood what she said. At times i noticed our ears plays tricks on us or we daydream and end up hearing the wrong things. So don't worry it happens all the time!!! But when it does make sure you double ask what they said because who knows what conversation might start if the wrong thing was heard opposed to hearing the right things. Only if people understood that at times the way they talk have an impact on what people hear suck!! because it can be a normal conversation and next thing you know you are talking about something weird or something that should not be said all because you heard something wrong and turned the whole conversation around. So please!!! Always double ask if you think you heard soething wrong because it will make one hell of a story plus you get a laugh out of it later.
